Dillars Clydesdale Stud is the home to many award winning Clydesdales.

We have won awards at all levels, including the prestigious Cawdor Cup
in three out of the last four years, i.e. 2002, 2003 and 2005.

Dillars Leader

Dillars Leader has been a consistent class winner over the years, culminating in the winning of the Cawdor Cup in 2002 at the National Stallion Show.

At this show, one of his sons, Dillars Scottie Boy, was competing against him for the honour.

Dillars Scottie Boy

Dillars Scottie Boy, the son of Dillars Leader, won the Cawdor Cup in 2003. He was first in his class as a foal at The Lanark Foal Show, The National Winter Fair and The Kilpatrick Foal Show.

He was also first at The National Stallion Show and was the Male Champion at The Aberdeen Show in 2002.

Dillars Striker (Sire Carnaff Caledonia Dam Lisnacloskey Nora) was foal champion at the Londonderry Horse Breeders Foal Show in December 2002. He was first in his class at the Royal Highland Show 2003 and won the 2 year old colt class at the National Stallion Show 2004.

In 2005 as a three year old Dillars Striker won the Cawdor Cup for best stallion and the inaugural Prince of Wales Trophy for Supreme Champion Clydesdale at the 2005 National Stallion Show.

In August 2005 Striker was sold to Bill Schuler from Alabahma USA and was shipped directly to Toronto Canada to take part in the Royal Winter Fair where he won the Male Championship. No other clydesdale has ever achieved this feat winning the National Stallion Show in Scotland and the Toronto Winter Fair in the same year.

Striker was Male Champion and Supreme Champion at a Show in Milwaukee, USA in August 2006. He then went on to win once again the Canadian Royal Winter Fair Grand Champion Clydesdale Stallion at Toronto in November 2006.

Carnaff Perfection

Carnaff Perfection is one of three stallions standing at stud this year. He was male champion at the Balmoral Show in Northern Ireland in 2005 and first in the 3 year old male class at the National Stallion Show in 2006. He shows great promise

His sire is Dillars Cracker by Mollinhillhead Majestic and his dam is Torrs Karis by Millisle Perfection.

Many horses from the Dillars Clydesdale Stud can now be found around the world.

Our Clydesdales have been exported to countries including France, Holland, Ireland and North America.
